Herbert Thomas Dicksee was an English painter/etcher specialising in dogs and big wild cats, lions and tigers etc. He studied art at the Slade School in London on a scholarship. His first painting was exhibited in 188. Herbert died in 1942 in Hampstead.

Please kindly note that all the art we sell is vintage and antique thus very old. As such, the condition of the frames and any mounts will often be in a well loved condition, with marks and pieces missing. This does not devalue the artwork but adds to the charm of owning a piece of history.
